Now that I am coming up to the halfway mark of my time here at Ancora, it felt a good time to reflect on what I have gained from my experience so far.
It has been a great opportunity to observe and gain an insight into the daily running of a law firm. As my first time working in a professional capacity, it has been a welcome change, everyone in the office has been very helpful and friendly in answering any questions I have throughout my time here and I have felt greatly supported.
I have also had the opportunity to observe and shadow Luiza in her role at Ancora, being able to see how she makes the best use of the online filing systems and optimises the firm’s forward-thinking application of technology to make the process easier for clients.
The firm have also allowed me to assist in some administrative tasks such as compiling and organising client files which I believe will benefit me greatly not only in my remaining time here but long-term as well. I have also had the chance over the last few weeks to do some independent legal research on current topics within the property law sector which has been interesting to carry out and investigate.
I am looking forward to the rest of my time here and hope to continue gaining more valuable experience and knowledge surrounding the realities of working within a law firm.
