Meet the Team – Luiza Szczepanska
Time flies when you’re having fun!
It has been almost three months since Luiza joined our Commercial Property team. Back then, we had a chat with Luiza to introduce her to our readers and discuss what brought her to Ancora Law in the first place.
Now she’s all settled in, we wanted to catch up with her to see how she’s getting on and to get to know her a little better!
When asked how Luiza’s time at Ancora has been so far, she spoke confidently about how much she has learned and the positive experience she’s having in a calm, supportive environment.
“It’s a pleasure to work for Ancora law. The team has been welcoming and supportive from the start. I feel like this has allowed me to learn and progress in my role and create my own working processes that suit me.”
In the beginning, Luiza felt like she grasped the system quite quickly, which she feels proud of looking back now as this is something that has enabled her to continue learning at a rapid pace.
Luiza’s favourite part about her role at Ancora Law is the variety in the work that she takes on. Though she does also appreciate the structure that comes with the job, finding it exceedingly rewarding to go through a list of tasks and complete them each day. She never feels like she doesn’t have something to do.
“I’m happy that I get to continue learning new things and gaining additional responsibilities. I am developing my legal knowledge at a rate I did not expect and I always appreciate the time the team takes to explain processes and help me to grow.”
When catching up with Luiza, she told us all about what she likes to get up to in her spare time as well. This included long walks in nature with her dog, Chester, where she almost always takes her camera along as she also loves photography.
Luiza also explained how she’s currently learning her third language, French, and that she would love to go to France when it’s safe to travel again, as she’s never been and she’d like to test our her skills!
Although having very little spare time whilst completing her Masters and LPC alongside her role at Ancora Law, Luiza likes to keep herself busy. She recently wrote an article about Legal Diversity which was published in the Law field, and when asked how she balances her time, she told us:
“I always remember to make time for myself. If the workload becomes too much, I remind myself to take it one thing at a time. But I’m not afraid to be under pressure, I find I work well that way and just take each day as it comes. It’s always worth it.”
